Miller, DePlanke Sworn In at Building Authority

Dallas Miller and Joene DePlancke have been reappointed to the Gilmer County Building Authority.

Both having previously served, DePlancke has been reappointed for 3 years and Miller for 4 years. Each are currently serving their second term. Dallas Miller is also a member of the Gilmer County Board of Commissioners, appointed by the Commissioners to maintain a presence as the Building Authority is separate from the county with its own authority and its own ability to sell bonds.

Although technically approved for reappointment late last year, the Authority is meeting for the first time this year and hosting the two members swearing in. The Board’s third member, Chairman Mark Hice’s term will end next year. One difference between the two is that DePlancke is sworn in for another 3-year term while Miller will serve a four year term.
