Mrs. Wylene Ballew Payne: Obituary

Mrs. Wylene Ballew Payne, age, 96 of Ellijay died Thursday May 11, 2017.

Mrs. Payne was born April 9, 1921 in Gilmer County the daughter of the late L.L.”Fate” and Alice Elizabeth Sanford Ballew. She worked in the textile industry at J & C, attended Pleasant Gap Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and attending flea markets.

Her parents, husband, John William Payne, siblings, L.L., James, and Lucille Ballew and Gerta Davis preceded her in death.

Survivors include: son; Bill Payne, brother; Leeman Ballew, Ellijay and sister; Nina Silvers, Chatsworth, serval nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held, Sunday at 2:00pm, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Dotson and Rev. Robin Silvers  officiating. Interment will be in the Ellijay City cemetery.

Family will meet with friends Sunday from 10:00am until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
