Rose Eva Caron: Obituary

Rose Eva Caron, 92 of Ellijay, Georgia died at the Gilmer Nursing Home on 3 August 2017. Rose was born in Nashua, New Hampshire the daughter of Joseph G. & Marie A. (Francoeur) Chantal.

Rose was a homemaker and raised 4 children. She was an extremely talented artist, quilter and painter. In her early years she worked for the Nashua Police Department as a crossing guard until all her children went on to other schools. She also worked at the Nashua Library. Rose remained a homemaker until her husband retired.  They spent a few years touring the country visiting places they always wanted to see spending most summers in her beloved Maine.

Rose was the loving wife of Albert who passed away in 2009 and would have celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Rose was predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters.  Roger Chantal and wife Marie of Nashua , Raymond Chantal and wife Eleanore of Nashua, Marguerite and Lucien Decelle of Nashua, Rita and husband Armand Desaultels of Nashua, Roland Chantal, Rachel Putnam and Robert Chantal.

Survivors include her two sons:  Roland Caron and wife Linda of Hudson, N.H., Norman H. Caron, and wife Hazel of Lilburn Georgia. Two daughters: Patricia Archambeault of Nashua, NH and Susan Abernathy and husband Tony of Jasper, Georgia.

Grandchildren: Christopher S. Caron and wife Jessica of Hudson, NH, Scott Caron  of Chicago, Illinois, Matthew Boucher and wife Susan of Georgia, Michelle May and husband Richard of Georgia, Laurie Hurley and husband John of Massachusetts, Carrie Hinz of Virginia, Marcus Archambeault and Theo of Portland Oregon and Jeremy Caron of California with many great grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 26th, 2017 from the Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Ellijay, GA with Father Carlos Vargas officiating.  Mrs. Caron will be laid to rest in the family plot in Nashua, NH at a later date.
