Mrs. Ruth Richards: Obituary

Mrs. Ruth Richards age 85 of Ellijay died Monday August 21, 2017.

Mrs. Richards was born December 18, 1931 in Gilmer County the daughter of the late Ernest and Myrtle Crump Easley. She worked in the carpet industry and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Her parents and husband, Hugh Richards, brothers, Alvin and Lloyd Easley, sister; Louise Nix and great-grandson, Thomas DeFoor preceded her in death.

Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law: George and Lois Richards, Lenn and Debbie Richards, daughters and son-in-law; Ellouise Silvers, Della Mae and Bobby Stanley, Brenda Key Smith, Loretta Sharples Lynette and Tim Goswick all of Ellijay 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4:00pm from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Fields and Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 5 until 9pm at the funeral home.
