Mr. Judson C. Reid: Obituary

Mr. Judson C. Reid, age 85, of Ellijay, died Monday September 4, 2017.

Mr. Reid was born May 2, 1932, in Jacksonville, FL the son of the late Cullen Mayo and Naomi Thornton Reid. He graduated High School and Technical School and was employed as a Technician for the Coca Cola Company at the time of his retirement. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church Ellijay. His wife Betty Mae Echols Reid preceded him in death on February 7, 2017.

Survivors include: sons & daughters-in-law; Cullen James & Patty Reid, Euharlee, Roger Alan & Angie Reid, Ellijay and Barry Lee & Teresa Reid, Thompson Station, TN, honorary daughter; Paige Goss, Toccoa, brother; Pete Reid, Jacksonville, Fl. sister, Ruth Heldreth, NC, grandson Ryan Hunter Reid and honorary grandson, Jacob Goss, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 9, 2017 at 11:00am from the First Baptist Church Ellijay, Rev. Josh Moyers officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery. Mr. Reid will lie-in-state at the church Saturday from 10:30 am until the funeral hour.

The family will meet with friends Friday from 4 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
