Mrs. Joan Weaver: Obituary

Mrs. Joan Weaver, age 78, of Ellijay died Friday September 8, 2017.

Mrs. Weaver was born June 5, 1939 in Whitfield County, the daughter of the late Baxter and Annie Mae Teems Burkett. She was a homemaker and member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Her parents, husband, W.C. Pete Weaver, sister, Sue Livingston and brother; Robert Burkett preceded her in death.

Survivors include: children and spouses, Tim Weaver, Ellijay, Donna and Jim Bowling, Terri and Brian Lannie, all of Ellijay, brother; Jackie Burkett, Chatsworth, sisters; Ann Beavers, Dalton, Gail Rays, Hixon, TN, Paulette England, Chatsworth, Marilyn Womack, Ranger, grandchildren; Krista and Paul McArthur, Joel Brooks, Brian Lannie, great-grandchildren; Palin, Reagan and Mia McArthur, special great grandchildren; Raleigh Mattox and Harper Lannie, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Michael Cantrell and Rev. Scott Chastain officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Mt Zion Baptist Church cemetery fund; o/o of Jerry Wishon, 42 N. Jones Mill Rd Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Weaver.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
