Bobcats Take Tough Loss At Home

The Dragons of Pickens Co. came to the home of the Bobcats on Thursday looking to take game two of a three game series. The Bobcats fell to the Dragons in game one on Tuesday after late inning heroics by Pickens.  The Bobcats were fired up and ready to take the field in this region match up but were quickly calmed as the Dragons put 2 runs quickly on the scoreboard.  Brooks Rosser was giving them everything he had and giving well but the Dragon hitters were putting the ball in play.

The Bobcat offense would get 4 runners on base over the first 3 innings but couldn’t get them across.  The Dragons would put up 3 more in the second and third carrying a 5-0 lead into the 4th inning of play.  That would be enough for the win but the Dragons didn’t stop there.  They would add 6 more runs over the next four innings of play.  Rosser, Smith, Turner and Woody all took to the mound to try and hold down the Dragons to no avail.

The Bobcats would get something going a little too late in the bottom of the seventh.   Scoring 4 runs to bring the final score to 11-4 and a Dragon win.  These two teams will meet in the final game of the series and of the regular season on Friday night at the home of the Dragons starting at 5:55 pm.
