Marjorie Ellis: Obituary

Miss Marjorie Ellis, age 84, of Ellijay, died Friday, October 19, 2018.

Miss Ellis was born, July 3, 1934, in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Dewey and Ina Mathis Ellis,. She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, was bookkeeper at Ellijay Book Keeping and Tax and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant (Top of the Mountain) Baptist Church. Her parents, sister, Hazel Ellis and brother, J.D. Ellis preceded her in death.

Survivors include: nieces, Inez Lowman, and Alice Ellis, nephew, James Ellis, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00am from the New Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Dotson, Rev. Billy Nealey, Rev. Shane Duggan, and Rev. John Reece officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and all day Sunday until 9:00pm at the funeral home.at the funeral home.
