The Cats Tennis team faced off with region foe in the Heritage Generals on Tuesday of last week walked away with their first region victory.
The Lady Cats came out with a 3-2 victory.
Singles action had Lauren Cole fell to Maleah McCalister 4-6 and 2-6, Hope Colwell over Kaylee Bright 6-3 and 6-2, Emma Callihan over Anna Grace Skinner 2-6, 6-1, and 6-1.
Doubles action had Sarah Sheahan/ Beth Burnette fell to Christal/Phillips 2-6 and 5-7, Josie Reece/ Emma Deyton win over Autumn Viars/Kourtney McKenzie 6-1 and 6-3.
The varsity boys defeated the Generals by a 4-1 score.
Brett Becker defeated Davis Kilgo 6-1 and 7-5, Carter Hice fell to Cooper Terry 4-6 and 2-6, Tripp Pierce defeated J.T. Halloren 6-1 and 6-1.
Hedden/Wimpey defeated Wooten/Minton 6-2 and 6-3 in doubles Also getting the match win for Gilmer was Singleton/Reece who defeated their opponents 6-4 and 6-3.
