Christine Garland Stover: Obituary

Mrs. Christine (Garland) Stover, age 90 of Ellijay, GA passed on Friday September 6^th, 2019 at her home. Christine was born on February 10^th, 1929 to her late parents Jesse and Pearl (Teem) Garland in Ellijay.  She was a graduate of the Massey Business College and a retiree of the Bell South company. She also was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Cartersville, GA. Mrs. Stover in preceded in death by her husband, Prescott Lamar Stover, granddaughter, Emma Williams Jordan, grandson, Oliver Kenyon Hill, sister, Betty G. Turner, brothers, Charles, Robert, Howard and Gary Garland.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday September 11^th, 2019 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coy Richards and Rev. Tim Taylor officiating. Music and singing will be performed by the First United Methodist Women’s Quartet. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Christine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Dr. William Williams of Ellijay, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell Lamar and Kendall Stover of Watersound, FL, grandchildren, Anna and Matthew Williams, Tonya Farmer, Michael Ayres, Camille Stover, Celeste Hill, great grandchildren, Jacob and Sam Farmer, Nina and Altan Ayres, Sarah and Sam Williams, Oscar and Serena Stover, Elliott and Evelyn Hill, great-great grandson, Isaac Farmer, sisters, Charlene Byrd and Brenda Richards, brothers, Rex Garland and Ben Garland all of Ellijay, GA, several nieces and nephews also survive.
