Emma Callihan is the TeamFYNSports Player of the Week for the Lady ‘Cats!
Callihan, a junior guard, made her presence known on the scoreboard and on defense during the past week as Gilmer (8-3, 5-0 Region 6-4A) earned two region wins and lost a tough non-conference game on the road.
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, Callihan scored 18 points as the Lady ‘Cats completely dominated rival and region-foe Pickens 94-67 in Ellijay.
Against Layfayette on Friday, also in Ellijay, Callihan was a key figure in the Lady ‘Cats suffocating defense while also scoring eight points in a 71-44 Gilmer victory.
Callihan finished the week by scoring 12 points in a narrow, 54-52 loss to Union Co. on Saturday, in Blairsville.
