Mr. Robert Lewis Painter age 91 of Painter Rd. Talking Rock died Thursday January 6, 2011.Mr. Painter was born May 25, 1919 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late Lee Painter & Bessie Pritchett Painter. He was a farmer and a member of the Turniptown Baptist Church. Mr. Painter served in the Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his wife Etter Long Painter.
Survivors include: Daughter & son-in-law: Jane & Jerry Wishon, Ellijay; Son & daughter-in-law: Claude & Gina Painter, Ellijay; 4 Grandchildren: Kenny Wishon, Amy Wishon Keener, Jon Roberson, Steven Roberson; 6 Great grandchildren; Sister-in-law: Dorothy Painter, Dalton, GA
Funeral services will be held Sunday January 9, 2011 at 2pm from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Pettit, Rev. Russell Hood & Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites by the North GA Honor Guard. Visitation will be held Saturday January 8th from 2pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home. Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
