Rosa Nell Scholes Starks: Obituary

Rosa Nell Scholes Starks age 89 of Ellijay, GA., passed from this life on January 24th, 2011 from the North Georgia Medical Center.She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, born May 5th, 1921 to her late parents Edgar Earl and Serena Bell Damesworth Scholes in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Starks graduated Waverly High School Class of 1938, was employed with J. & C. Bedspread, Ellijay Toggery for 35 years and interiors of Ellijay for 12 years. She is preceded in death by her husband T.R. Starks, and son Tom Starks.

Survivors include grandson & in-law Tim and Debbie Starks of Ellijay, GA., daughter in-law and spouse Sue D. and Ronnie West of Ellijay, GA., great granddaughters Kara and Jordan Starks of Ellijay, GA., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28th, 2011 from New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Leon Petit officiating, music performed by the Church Choir. Graveside service will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, with Greg Martin, Ronnie Evans, David Harper, Zach Welch, Ed Sholes, Keith Logan, Brent Land, and Danny Frady serving as pallbearers.

Flowers are being accepted or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Edward Woodring, 1867 Chatsworth Road, Ellijay, GA., 30540.

Family will receive friends beginning 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27th, 2011 at the Logan Funeral Home.
