Water Reported Safe — Boiled Water Advisory Lifted

As of 12:25 a.m. on February 3, 2010, the Boiled Water Advisory for portions of Gilmer County has been lifted. The Ellijay-Gilmer County Water & Sewerage Authority reported that all required samples came back negative from the lab.

The Boiled Water Advisory was issued for 48-hours on Feb 1, 2011 for the following areas due to system pressure loss as the result of a water main break. The areas affected were:

Industrial Blvd.
River Street
Dalton Street from City Roundabout to Hancock Drive
Kell Street
Seminary Circle
Skyline Drive
Boardtown Road
North Avenue
North Main Street from City Roundabout to Bridge at Ellijay River
Spring Street
South Main Street from City Roundabout to Highway 282 Intersection
Progress Road
Maddox Drive from Industrial Blvd. to Clock Tower.
