Immediate MedCare Boasts VIP Urgent Care at New Location

Kick back and have a cup of Starbucks. Watch a little HD T.V. on the flat screen. While you’re at it, de-stress in a massage chair.

While it may sound like a scene in a lobby of a big-city corporate office, this is actually the scenario in the waiting room of Immediate MedCare’s new Ellijay, Georgia location off Hwy 515 next to KFC in Highland Crossings Shopping Center.

“We are very customer service oriented and pride ourselves on being upscale,” said Practice Administrator Penny Powell.

Open seven days a week, prospective patients can see a doctor or nurse practitioner at this facility for a number of ailments including: burns, cuts, sprains, minor fractures, sore throats, stomach pain, infections, urinary problems, skin rashes, colds and flu.

“We don’t replace a patient’s primary care physician,” Powell said.

Powell said patients can get one-time refills on prescriptions in cases where they’ve run out and couldn’t get in to their doctor if it’s crucial for their health – such as blood pressure medicine.
