Rilla Ilene “Shorty” Troglin : Obituary

Ilene “Shorty” Troglin, age 55 of Ellijay, Ga., passed from this life on March 5th, 2011, from the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. Born on April 25th, 1955 to her late parents Henry and Dennie Mae Barnes Troglin in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. “Shorty” loved helping people, particularly the elderly and always had laughter and smiles for everyone she met. She will be missed by many. She was a very tiny lady with a very large heart.

Survivors include daughter and special friend, Nicole Pearson and Danny Renfo of Milledgeville, Ga., Grandchild, Christopher Tye Pearson of Milledgeville, Ga., Step-mother Betty Jean Troglin of Ellijay, Ga., sisters and brothers – in –law Linda Faye and Harland Parker of Calhoun, Ga., Nadine T. Ray of Ellijay, Ga., Debra T. and Renith Hendrix of Ranger, Ga., Denise T. and James Greer of Ellijay, Ga., several nieces and nephews, step sisters Jane Steward of Woodstock, Ga., April Eitklberry of Talking Rock, Ga. and special friend, Glover Methin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 at Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Lathery officiating, music and song by Frank and Holly Lathery and Harold Sanford. Interment will follow in the Flatcreek Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Greer, Renith Hendrix, Randall Hendrix, Tye Pearson, Harold Sanford, Billy Garland, Daniel Copeland and Barry Copeland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Smith, Jr., Wendell Rommel and Jason Smith.

Family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 pm, Monday, March 7th, 2011 at the Logan Funeral Home.
