Atlanta Braves Announce the 2011 Summer Concert Series

The Atlanta Braves 2011 Summer Concert Series presented by Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines will begin opening weekend with The Avett Brothers performing a free post-game concert on Sunday, April 10.Recently featured on the Grammy Awards with Bob Dylan and Mumford & Sons, The Avett Brothers have made a name for themselves with their unique style of folk, country, bluegrass, pop and rock. In the past few years, The Avett Brothers have charted four albums on the Billboard Top 200.

On Memorial Day, Atlanta’s own, Yacht Rock Revue will take the stage for the second post-game concert of the series. With their tribute to all of the biggest and best soft rock hits on one stage, Yacht Rock Revue was awarded “Best Local Overall Cover Act” and “Best Cover Band” in the Creative Loafing 2010 Best of Atlanta and was also listed by the Sunday Paper as one of 100 most influential people, groups and places in Atlanta.

The B-52s will perform on Saturday, July 16 following the game vs. the Washington Nationals. Over the course of their career, The B-52s have had much success producing two platinum albums and charting eight singles on the Billboard Top 100, including their two biggest hits, Love Shack and Roam. They were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2000.

A fourth concert will be added for Saturday, September 17 and should be announced in mid-July.
