John Frank Leiher : Obituary

Mr. John Frank Leiher age 67 of Gateway, Dr., Ellijay, GA passed away Monday March 28, 2011.

Mr. Leiher was born on August 24, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA. He is the son of the late John Leiher & Naomi Baxter Leiher. He moved to Florida in 1956 where he enjoyed many years of family and friendships. He was a staff sergeant in the Air Force, an insurance agent for North West Mutual and a life member of 37 years of the Million dollar Round Table. John was a true Renaissance man who enjoyed writing, gardening, traveling, boating, fishing, and teaching. He was an incredible story teller and loved his dog Shane. John’s strong morals and ethical beliefs was a guiding “North Star”.

John leaves behind a son, Justin, a grandson, Austin Leiher, his lifelong companion and best friend Jean Murfin, a sister, Lynn Johnson, 3 nephews, and countless friends whom he touched with his kindness and love.

Entombment services will be held Saturday April 9, 2011 at 11am from the Sylvan Abbey in Clearwater, FL.
