Nellie Edna Fowler Parks, age 88, of the Boardtown Road Community, Ellijay, Ga., passed on Monday, March 28th, 2011 from the Fannin Regional Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Parks. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Brenda P. and John Shook of Lithia Springs, Ga., son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Nancy Parks of Dalton, Ga.; Five grandchildren: Karen Noland, Michael Parks, Tracey Parks, Kendra Holcomb and James Shook; Twenty great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren; Brothers, Curtis Fowler of Ellijay, Ga., Roy Fowler of Dalton, Ga. and Clarence Fowler of Conway, S.C..

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2nd from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Mull, Rev. Phillip Davenport and Rev. John Shook officiating.

Internment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Holcomb, Michael Parks, James Shook, Tracey Parks, Daniel Arnold, Jerry Parks, Brandon McVey, Adam McVey, Daviel Frady, Laren McVey.

The family will be receiving friends starting at 4:00 p.m., Friday evening April 1st, 2011 at the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
