Mr. Orion Malcolm Lord, age 75 of Ellijay, Ga., passed from this life on Monday, March 28th, 2011 at his residence.
Born June 28th, 1935 in New Hampshire to his late parents, Orion N. and Beatrice Benson Lord, he attended Brewster Academy, was employed with General Dynamics as a defense contractor for over 20 years and served his country honorably in the United States Army in Korea.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Mace Lord of the home in Ellijay, Ga.; daughters and son-in-law, Theresa and Rev. Carl Rogers of Ellijay, Ga.; Doris Marie Jones of Williamstown, N.J., Chris Ann Mederous of Mullica Hill, N.J.; four grandchildren: David Jones, Kristina Jones, Mike Mederous and Frankie Mederous; great-granddaughter, Lilly Marie Jones and sister, Judith Malay of Maine.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31st, 2011 at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with Col. George Pletcher officiating, military rites will be performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1st, 2011 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga.
