JC Sanford, Chairman of the Gilmer County Board of Commissioners announces that the county has worked to remove storm debris from all county roads to make them passable for the citizens. Removal of tree and brush debris from the roadsides will continue as quickly as possible.

To expedite this process the Chairman has asked that citizens do not leave construction debris and/or brush from private property on the roads. Construction and tree/brush debris may be disposed of by taking it to an authorized or licensed inert landfill.

Any household debris or garbage left on public roads will be considered litter and/or unlawful dumping.
