Mrs. Iola Elwood Johnson Priest, age 98, of Delaware Street, Ellijay, Ga., passed from this life on Wednesday, April 13th, 2011 from the Gilmer Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, born August 5th, 1912 to her late parents Graham Bruce and Lorena Raefield Johnson in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Mrs. Priest was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband Edgar Wilson Priest.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Hilda and Morris Parks of Ellijay, Ga.; grandchildren and in-laws, Edgar M. and Lisa Parks of Ellijay, Ga., Hilda Grace and Marshall Holcomb of Cumming, Ga. and great grandchildren: Haley Parks, Kyle Holcomb and Emily Holcomb Smith.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17th, 2011 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Drake. Graveside interment will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 18th, 2011 in the Tatum Cemetery in Elizabethtown, North Carolina.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. unto 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at Logan Funeral Home.
