Mr. William Lloyd Patterson age 84 of Ridge View Rd. Morganton, died Tuesday May 24,2011.

Mr. Patterson was born January 25,1927 in Blue Ridge, the son of the late Clyde and Gussie Foster Patterson. He was a carpenter and served in the US Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Mae Ward Patterson in 1991.

Survivors include: Sons and daughter –in-law: Gary Patterson, Fl, Danny Patterson, Griffin, Ga., Wallace and Betty Patterson, Scottsmore, FL; Daughter and son-in-law: Frances and Richard Shurtleff, Scottsmore, Fl; Brother Winfred Patterson, Blue Ridge; Sisters: Marie Cantrell, Oak Hill, Fl., Minnie Lowery, Copperhill, Tn.; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, Significant Other: Sara Davis, Morganton, Ga.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 28, 2011 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Salem Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday, May 27, 2011 from 6pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
