Cornerstone Baptist Church – Worship at 11 in Cherry Log, GA

Cornerstone Baptist Church welcomes everyone to Sunday Worship Service
THE WORSHIP OF GOD
Sunday, May 29, 2011 – Eleven O’clock

SUPPORT FOR INDIA MISSIONS
We have designated May 29th as Missions Day. Our special guest will be Mr. Jack Turney, who is the founder of THE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD. He has recorded the Bible in 24 languages many of which are broadcast worldwide over Trans World Radio. Paul narrated the English King James Version which was broadcast to India and the contacts there have led to the founding of about 400 churches, a college, and a children’s home. Cornerstone gave $4,000 to the children’s home several years ago. The college now has students from Tibet. India is ripe for the gospel and the harvest there is great. Mr. Turney is now 88 and has just returned from India and will have a lot to tell us about.
AN OFFERING WILL BE TAKEN AT THE DOOR AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SERVICE FOR THE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD’S MISSION TO INDIA AND TIBET.

WELCOME GUEST MUSICIANS
Sunday, we are glad to welcome Trevor and Vanessa Suits. Trevor will lead our congregational singing and he and Vanessa will give a mini concert.

WE HONOR OUR VETRANS
We would like to honor our veterans on Sunday, May 29th. Please bring pictures or items to display on the table that will be set up to honor all Veteran’s.

GIVING OUT CDs
We have 40 people who committed themselves to participate each week in our outreach ministry of giving the gospel sermons to others with an invitation to attend worship. Others have placed fish bowls in public places with an invitation to “Free – take one.” Remember to pick up yours after each service.

INDIA FACTS
The demographics of India are remarkably diverse. India is the second most populous country in the world, with over 1.21 billion people (2011 census), more than a sixth of the world’s population. Already containing 17.5% of the world’s population, India is projected to be the world’s most populous country by 2025, surpassing China, its population exceeding 1.6 billion people by 2050. However, its population growth rate is only 1.41%, ranking 93rd in the world. India has more than 50% of its population below the age of 25 and more than 65% hovers below the age of 35. It is expected that, in 2020, the average age of an Indian will be 29 years, compared to 37 for China and 48 for Japan; and, by 2030, India’s dependency ratio should be just over 0.4.[3]
India has more than two thousand ethnic groups, and every major religion is represented, as are four major families of languages (Indo-European, Dravidian, Austro-Asiatic and Tibeto-Burman languages) as well as a language isolate (the Nihali language[4] spoken in parts of Maharashtra).
Further complexity is lent by the great variation that occurs across this population on social parameters such as income and education. Only the continent of Africa exceeds the linguistic, genetic and cultural diversity of the nation of India.[5]
