Susie Davenport Newton : Obituary

Mrs. Susie Davenport, age 90, of Chatsworth died Friday May 27, 2011.

Mrs. Davenport was born on September 15, 1920 in Gilmer County to the late Newt and Julie Worley Davenport. Mrs. Davenport was a housewife and a member of the Little Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Newton.

Survivors include: Sons: Woodrow Newton, Chatsworth, Dartis & Billy Newton both of Ellijay; Daughter: Betty Pruiett, Ellijay; 5 Grandchildren, 9 Great grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 30, 2011 at 11am from the Flat Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Newton, Rev. Randy McClure, and Rev. Billy Dotson officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday May 29, 2011 from 12pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
