Carrol N. Davis : Obituary

Mrs. Carrol N. Davis, age 75, of the Coosawattee Community of Ellijay, Ga., passed from this life on Saturday, May 28th, 2011 from the North Ga. Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Davis was born on April 24th, 1936 to her late parents, Bruce and Ruth Hipps Nanney in Canton, N.C. She was employed with Bell South Communications as a secretary.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 53 years, William G. Davis of the home in Ellijay, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law: Steven and Gail Davis of Hampton, Ga., Russell and Jacqueline Davis of Stockbridge, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and Dan Cox of Jonesboro, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Hazel Nanney of Maggie Valley, N.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and David Smith of Lenore, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Bradley officiating. Family will receive friends at 12:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tn. 38101-0050, in memory of Mrs. Davis.
