Mr. Donald Junior Hensley, age 51, of the Round Top Community, Ellijay, Ga., passed from this life Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 from his residence. Mr. Hensley was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church, born December 5th, 1959 to Ethel Maria Newton Hensley and the late Sherman Mitchell Hensley in Tate, Pickens County, Ga. He was employed in the construction business doing masonry work.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law Jesse and Brandy Hensley of Ellijay, Ga.; grandchildren: Jake Hensley, Jocelyn Hensley and Nicholas Hensley; mother and stepfather, Ethel Hensley Henderson and Phillip Henderson of Ellijay, Ga.; sister Shirley Hensley of Ellijay, Ga.; brothers: Gary Hensley and Michael Hensley of Ellijay, Ga.; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5th, 2011 from the Sunlight Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Easley and Rev. Lonnie Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunlight Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ben Arnold, Scott Fowler, Josh Martin, Anthony Stonecipher, Billy Joe Patterson, Jerry Barnes and Wayne Grizzle.
Family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, June 3rd and 4th at Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
