Will Gilmer County property taxes go up? Last night Chief Appraiser Stan King presented an outline of this year’s property tax digest to the Board of Tax Assessors. The digest is currently down 11 to 13 percent compared to last year. Mr. King feels after assessed property value disputes are settled that realistically it could be down as much as 15 percent.
