According to Mr. Wingo, only two bids were made for the contract. At the Board of Education Workshop last week, held on June 9th, Mr. Greg Wingo, Director of Secondary Curriculum, Gifted Children, Parent Involvement, and Facilities/Maintenance, presented his recommendation for next year’s propane contract. According to Mr. Wingo, only two bids were made for the contract. The county’s propane needs include three areas. Appalachian Propane offered the lowest bid of all three areas, according to Mr. Wingo. Currently, Ferrellgas provides propane for the Gilmer County School District. FYN has requested a copy of the above proposals.
On Tuesday, June 14th, at the Board of Education’s monthly meeting, Mr. Wingo will request board members to award Appalachian Propane the bid for next year’s propane contract.
See video of Mr. Wingo’s recommendation.
