Mrs. Marian Scroggins Allen, age 68, of Old Flat Branch Rd. Ellijay,Ga., died Tuesday June 28, 2011.
Mrs. Allen was born on January 28, 1943 in West Point, GA. She is the daughter of the late Robert Harlen Scroggins & Minnie Lee Burdette Scroggins. She worked for Robert Shaw and was a member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony “Tony” Allen.
Survivors include: Daughters & son-in-law: Elizabeth & Jesse Clark, Ellijay, Michelle Allen, Ellijay; 6 Grandchildren: Megan Allen, Roger, Patrick, Michaela, Andrew & Lauren Newton; Sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Linda & Phil Allen, St. Simmons Island, Ga., Barbara & Thomas Allen, St. Petersburg, FL; Nephews: Benjamin & Christopher Allen.
Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday June 29, 2011 at 7pm from the Good Samaritan Catholic Church with Father Randy Mattox officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday June 29th from 4pm until 6:30pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted or donation may be made to the Homeward Bound Pet Rescue of Gilmer County @ P.O. Box 792 Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Allen.
