Mrs. Virginia Ruth Parsons Hollis, age 78 of the Tails Creek Community, Ellijay, GA passed from this life on June 30th, 2011 from the Chatsworth Health Care Center. She was born August 23rd, 1932 to her late parents Joseph and Alice Joe Davis Parsons in Grassy Creek, Mitchell County, NC. Mrs. Hollis was a homemaker.

Survivors include husband of 48 years Arthur Thomas Hollis of the home in Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons-in-law: Jessie Walters & Lloyd Richardson of Ash County, NC, Sandra Hollis Dillard of Ellijay, GA; son and daughter-in-law Michael & Martha Hollis of Walker County, GA; fifteen grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
