The NGCA Mariners conducted their second basketball camp of the summer on Monday July 11 through Wednesday July 13. The first two hours consisted of fundamental work. The last thirty minutes of each day the players participated in a 3 on 3 tournament.The players were divided into five equal teams and played a round-robin schedule the first two days. Then on day three, the teams were seeded in a double elimination bracket to determine the champions. The winners were Jesse Dilbeck, Melody Mullen, and Logan Cheatham. The “Camper of the Day” award went to Hannah Love on day one, Ben Sullivan on day two, and Daniel Hicks on day three. With two camps this summer, the Mariners are now looking forward to the start of the basketball season in mid-October.
