The first screws are placed in the first beam at Ground Zero in Ellijay, GA. at approx. 1:30 pm on July 22, 2011. New York Says Thank You pays it forward in Ellijay, GA as the advance team, headed up by Charlie Vitchers, assists Mason Adkins with placing the screws.

Mason Adkins is the 12 year old son of Wes and Jill Adkins from Council Bluffs, IA. Mason traveled down this week to work on site with his dad, Wes Adkins. Jill Adkins, Director of Operations and Administration

Charlie Vitchers was lead on the 9/11 clean up in 2001 and came down to head up the advance team for NYSTY’s pay it forward project at Build an Ark Animal Rescue.
