Mr. Raymond E. Milton, age 77, of Kewanee Ct Ellijay died Saturday July 30,2011.

Mr. Milton was born April 9,1934 in Gilmer County, the son of the late Newman and Annie Brown Milton. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, served in the US Air Force and operated Milton Reality Co. Mr. Milton along with others was instrumental in founding and building Whitepath Golf Course. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles Med Milton and Sister Monteen Lang.

Survivors include: Wife: Sara Smith Milton, Son and daughter-in-law: Andy and Joan Milton, Ellijay, Daughter and Son-in-law: Sheri and Mark Pruett, Jasper, Brother and sister–in-law, Paul and Patsy Milton, Ellijay; Sisters and brothers-in-law: Melba and Grady Gibson, Ellijay, Barbara and Bud Reece, Ellijay; 3 grandchildren and spouses: Melissa and Donnie Pritchett, Maranda and Robert Lentz, McKenzie Milton; 2 great-grandchildren, Logan and Morgan Pritchett.

Funeral services will be held Monday August 1, 2011 at 3:00pm from the Clear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Banks, Rev. Billy Dotson and Rev. Scott Chastain officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 5 until 9pm at the funeral home.
