Mrs. Bonnie Amour Spence Gheesling age 87 of Westwoods Dr. Ellijay formerly of Ball Ground, GA died Thursday August 11, 2011.

Mrs. Gheesling was born on May 26, 1924 in Ball Ground, GA to the late Herbert Washington Spence and Sylphia Jane Cornelison Spence. She worked at Lockheed Aircraft and a member of First Baptist Church of Ellijay. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harrell Russell Gheesling, and brothers, Arnold and Wayne Spence.

Survivors Include: Children and spouses: Ronnie Harrell and Nancy Gheesling, Ellijay, Tommy Russell and Sherry Gheesling, Canton, Douglas and Lynne Gheesling Pritchett, Ellijay; Grandchildren and spouses: Craig and April Gheesling McAndrews, Tommy Jr. and Kim Gheesling, Russell and Julie Gheesling, Kevin Pritchett, David Pritchett, Nicholas Pritchett, Eric and Ashley Hillyer Mayo; Sisters and brother-in-law: Joanne and Elmer Mason, Talking Rock, Juanita Haney, Acworth; Sisters-in-law: Velma Spence, Ball Ground, Wilma Spence, Acworth.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 13, 2011 at 11am from the First Baptist Church of Ellijay with Dr. David Drake officiating.

Interment will be in the Cherokee Memorial Park in Canton, GA at 2:30pm on Saturday, August 13.

Visitation will be held Friday August 12th from 4pm until 8pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home in Ellijay.

Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ellijay Building Fund at 164 Dalton St. Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Gheesling.
