Shane’s Rib Shack serves Patriotic BBQ

Recently Gilmer County’s Build an Ark Animal Rescue received a life changing visit from NewYorkSaysThankYou and as part of the event had the distinct honor and excitement of bringing America’s 911 Flag to our community! Gilmer County took possession of the Flag in Marietta for an unforgettable experience of escorting to a waiting crowd in Ellijay, GA!

Today Fetchyournews.com would like to highlight and extend a big “Thank You” to our friends at Shane’s Rib Shack for their amazing contribution during the recent events! Shane’s Rib Shack exhibited their willingness to “Pay it Forward!” by serving up delicous BBQ on more than one occassion to hungry volunteers. Roxanne Luplow, Manager & catering coordinator along with Steve Stone, Owner of Shane’s Rib Shack generously stepped up in a great way during the recent events. Roxanne joined other staff and enjoyed feeding delicious BBQ to volunteers, FDNY, and Gilmer County’s Firefighters as the 911 Flag was presented to Tony Pritchett in Marietta, GA.

Roxanne told FYN when they heard of the event it was immediately decided that Shane’s Rib Shack would offer its service. They are so happy they made that decision, Roxanne stated,

“it was amazing and heart touching to follow two fire trucks, be followed by two police escorts to be a part of this event.”

Saturday night Shane’s was on hand at Build an Ark Animal Rescue once again feeding grateful and hungry workers and felt it was their way of saying “thank you” to the volunteers. Roxanne let FYN know she would never forget the experience telling us,

“my staff, Angie & Ronnie Pruitt, Tyler Davenport, Dana Elliott and myself were there to help present the Flag to the barn raising site and all the volunteers.”

Since anyone blessed enough to have been a part of this amazing event already knows, it was the land of “1000 thank yous” and not one “you’re welcome” as so lovingly coined by Jill Eden Strauzer. So let’s all remember to show Shane’s Rib Shack how much we appreciate the commitment shown to our local community!
