Mrs. Evelyn Cantrell Lewis, age 68, of Marietta, GA formerly of Ellijay, died Sunday August 14, 2011.

Mrs. Lewis was born on September 23, 1942 in Gilmer Co. She is the daughter of the late Raymond Cantrell, Sr. and Reba Woody Cantrell. She worked for the Forestry Service for 46 years. Mrs. Lewis is preceded in death by a sister Alene Cantrell Waddell.

Survivors Include: Husband: John Lewis of the home; Brothers: Raymond Cantrell, Jr. and Fairley Cantrell both of Ellijay; Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 19, 2011 at 3pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating.

Interment will follow in the Scrougetown Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday August 18th from 11am until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
