Curtis William Newton : Obituary

Mr. Curtis William Newton age 62 of Richards Rd. Ellijay died Wednesday August 31, 2011.

Mr. Newton was born on January 3, 1949 in Pickens Co. He is the son of the late Herman William Newton and Dessie Chastain Newton. He was a concrete finisher in the construction industry. He attended Harvest Missionary. He is preceded in death by sons Tony & Scotty Newton.

Survivors include: Wife: Imogene Painter Newton of the home; Son & daughter-in-law: Jeff & Nickey Newton, Ellijay; 2 Grandchildren: Amberley & Keesha Newton; Brothers: Donnie Newton, Ellijay, Ronnie Newton, Dalton, Terry Newton, Chatsworth, Keith Hamby, Chatsworth; Sisters: Linda Dale, Villanow, Lisa Hamby, Ellijay; Aunt: Bessie Richards, Ellijay. Special friends, Joann Jones Marcelle Smith, Rita Richards.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 3, 2011 at 3pm from the Flat Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Arnold & Rev. Joe Wayne Beal officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday September 2nd from 11am until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
