Lordship of Christ- “Surprise Mental Exercise” or pop test, if you prefer!

I know what you are thinking- What about the 7 points? Oh ya but it is time to see what you have learned from our discussions. If fact, I encourage you to write to me as you respond to the story below. Be sure to follow the directions. If you want to write, my email address is [email protected]

Read the story below. Give it a title and establish biblical principles (remember the Scripture is our final authority) as they relate to the story. OK, here we go:
“The Beauty and the Beast” (I know, not very original but just run with it; of course you could come up with something different).

“Beauty” was the name her Father had given this talented, attractive, outgoing daughter. Much fame had been brought to the family because of her wonderful yet powerful voice. “Beast” was the name she had given to her ugly cousin who had been horribly disfigured in an accident in which his parents had died. “Beauty” cared little for and knew even less about this hideous young man. Things had changed since his untimely arrival. In her mind, Father could have sent his brother’s son somewhere else.

The night was upon them when Beauty, who was filled with great excitement and anticipation, was to make her debut at the City Music Hall. While traveling to the Hall, the family received a call- the pianist was sick and couldn’t play! Beauty was hysterical and horribly distraught because HER night had been ruined.

Upon arriving at the Hall, Beauty gingerly approached the stage. She sensed the crowd anxiously awaiting her arrival while they were being entertained by the melodic sounds of the piano ringing clearly through the building. With renewed confidence, she stepped upon the stage and into the spotlight without knowing who was wonderfully “tickling the ivories” behind the curtain. An hour later, the concert succesfully completed, Beauty ran behind the curtain to see and thank her accompanist.
Rounding the corner, she came to a screeching halt! It was Beast (were you expecting a Kermit the Frog- just a joke). Sorry!

Now I want you to develop biblical principles from this story. Come up with as many as you can. And, if you can, come up with a better title. Have fun. See ya.
