FYN has been given audio of 911 call placed early Wednesday morning, September 14th that initiated the investigation that resulted in a murder arrest. The Gilmer County Coroner, Jerry Hensley, has told FYN he pronounced Mrs. Bossa deceased at 5:50 am on the 14th of September. The cause of death was strangulation. An audio of the 911 call has been released from the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Dept and you can listen by clicking on link at the bottom of the story.
Mrs. Bossa was in “fear for her life” when she placed a 911 call on the night of March 23, 2003. This was a statement she gave an officer in Volusia County Florida that responded to her call. The 911 call placed in the early hours of Sept 14th in 2011 in response to Donald Bossa’s initial plea for help, claiming 2 white males had abducted him, sadly had a different result. Police officers discovered Barbara Bossa’s body in the couple’s home in Coosawattee. According to the Sheriff’s Dept Donald Bossa confessed to the murder of his wife during questioning later that same morning.
Obviously Mrs. Bossa had legitimate fears that she expressed in a police report filed in 2003. Records from Florida indicate a 911 call 8 years ago resulted in an assault arrest. Sadly the 911 called placed in the early hours Wednesday morning had more devastating results in our North Georgia Community. See full 2003 Police report filed in Florida below:
