Mr. Jimmy Starling Elliott age 81 of Ellijay, GA, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from the North Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Elliott was a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church, born February 19th, 1930 to his late parents Starling and Evie Vaughan Elliott in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. He was a forklift operator for Ellijay Lumber Company. Mr. Elliott is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Annie Louise Hollifield Elliott.
Survivors include daughters Barbara Elliott Defoor and Sharon Lee Elliott Enfinger, both of Ellijay; son Jimmy Stephen Elliott; grandchildren Jerry Lamar Elliott, Chris Enfinger, Andrew Enfinger, Kevin Enfinger, Steven Johnson, Lisana Eckenrode, Joe Weaver, 6 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Dotson and Rev. Pat Shelton officating. Music and vocals performed by Rev. Irene Wofford. Graveside interment will follow in the Clear Creek Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Enfinger, Kevin Enfinger, Chris Enfinger, Jerry Dotson, David Cantrell, Frank Elliott, Johnny Buffington, Clifford Elliott, Garvin Davis, Mac West, Ben Whitaker, Les Johnson and Steven Johnson.
Family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 30th, 2011 at the Logan Funeral Home.
