Josie Mullinax Sanford : Obituary

Mrs. Josephine “Josie” Grant Mullinax Sanford, age 85 of Chatsworth formerly of Ellijay, died Saturday November 12, 2011.

Mrs. Sanford was born on November 14, 1925 in Gilmer Co. She is the daughter of the late Clifford Mullinax and Lillie Ellis Mulinax. She worked in the textile industry and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Dock Sanford.

Survivors include: Daughters: Brenda Holt, Ellijay, Barbara Phillips, Buford, GA; Sons: Glenn Sanford, Chatsworth, Larry Sanford, Virginia Beach, VA; Brothers: Joe & Jessie Mullinax both of Ellijay; Sister: Ruby Ingle, Haysville, NC; 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great grandchildren; 1 Great-great grandchild

Funeral services will be held Monday November 14, 2011 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smith & Rev. Ed Davenport officiating.

Interment will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Sunday November 13th from 3pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
