The Gilmer County Board of Education will meet to discuss the Oakland Academy Charter School application at a called meeting on January 26th at 6:00 P.M. at 497 Bobcat Trail. The application was submitted to the Board on December 15th. According to the application, also called a petition, the Board must make a decision on whether to allow Oakland to open as a charter or not by February 13th. Since this is a called meeting and not a work session, action may be taken by the Board.
