The annual Gilmer Nursing Home Pageant will be Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 pm.
The theme is “Somewhere over the Rainbow” and staff will be dressed as the Wizard of Oz characters and the dining room transformed into the Emerald City. The winner of the Queen category will have a scrapbook made about her life.The scrapbook is then sent to the state to compete with other nursing homes for a chance to compete at state level. Only 21 nursing homes are selected. Gilmer Nursing Home has gone the last six years to state. We have had one state winner and one 4th runner up. If you have never seen the pageant, the Gilmer Nursing Home thinks you will enjoy it very much. Please come it will warm your heart.

Categories will be Best Personality, Most Popular, Best Looking Male and Female, Volunteer of the Year,
King and Queen, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and 3rd runner up. Cleve Oliver and the River Park Band will perform as well as Traci Pospisil singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. (Article written by Tammy Baker).
