Mrs. Beula Florence “Aunt Bea” Baxter Hawkins age 84 of East Spring St. East Ellijay died Sunday February 12, 2012.
Mrs. Hawkins was born on December 31, 1927 in Washington, DC. She is the daughter of the late William Baxter and Mary Kinnes Baxter. She was a cook at the Gilmer County Detention Center. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include: Son: William E. Hawkins, Smyrna, GA; Daughters: Kinness Booher, Baldwin, GA, Judy White, Garden Cove Spring, FL, Susan Davis, Ellijay; 9 Grandchildren 11 Great grandchildren 2 Great-great grandchildren Brother: Leon Baxter, MD; Sisters: Juanite Greene, WV, June Corbett, PA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 15, 2012 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Conley officiating.
Interment will be held in the Yukon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday February 14th from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
