The Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce has just become aware of a rash of vehicle break-ins currently happening across Ellijay, East Ellijay, and the county. Numerous vehicles have been reported in the last several hours.

Law enforcement asks the community to be vigilant as you go about your business today and to please keep an eye out for a red Toyota Tacoma with aluminum wheels and a ground effects package as it may contain possible suspects.

If you encounter any suspicious behavior or have information regarding these break ins, please call 911 immediately.
