Gilmer JV Climbs over Mountaineers

The Gilmer High School junior varsity soccer team hosted the North Murray JV team. The Bobcats emerged victorious with a 3-1 win. Brandon Mendez-Lynch’s two second half goals propelled the JV Bobcats to victory.The Bobcats drew first blood, with 20:29 left in the first half. The Mountaineers tied the game with no time left on the clock, on a penalty kick, to go into half time tied 1-1.

Mendez-Lynch’s first goal came with 14:07 left in the game, and his second goal came with 8:15 left in the game. All three Gilmer goals came courtesy of penalty kicks.
