Motions in Bossa Murder Case to be Heard in May

Motions in the Donald Bossa Murder Case are scheduled to be heard on May seventh. The case is also on the trial calendar for the same day.According to one legal on-line dictionary,

“a motion is a procedural device to bring a limited, contested issue before a court for decision. A motion may be thought of as a request to the judge (or judges) to make a decision about the case. [1]Motions may be made at any point in administrative, criminal or civil proceedings, although that right is regulated by court rules which vary from place to place. The party requesting the motion may be called the movant, or may simply be the moving party. The party opposing the motion is the nonmovant or nonmoving party.”

As such, depending on the outcome of the motions process, the trial may be rescheduled for a later date.
In September, Donald Bossa confessed to murdering his wife at their home in the Cossawatee River Resort, after telling authorities he was abducted by two men. He then told them he escaped his abductors and, upon returning home found his wife dead.

Amy Johnson at the Superior Court of Clerks’ Office Gilmer County told FYN the case will be heard in Gilmer County until further notice.

FYN will follow this case as more details become available.
