These 2 dogs were owner surrendered to Gilmer County Animal Control on 3/20/12 by their owner. The owner said that they have been living outside on their land roaming free for a few years and he no longer wanted them and was going to shoot them until a friend that used to work in rescue convienced him to at least bring them to an animal control facility to get a chance at being adopted or going to a rescue group. Both dogs are very sweet and good with children.
Buddy is more shy and skittish was originally found as a stray with a broken leg and ribs about 2 years ago. He was nursed back to health and would do fine with other dogs and cats and kids. He has lived on the property as an outside dog. The owners no longer wanted him and he was surrendered to AC.
Wiley was also originally found as a stray when he was a puppy about 2 years ago. He has lived on the property as an outside dog since then. He can not be near farm animals or cats, he did kill a goat once. He is good with other dogs and kids. They are both freaking out in this new environment. Hopefully someone can save them.
Wiley – 3 yo, Male Shepherd Mix, Fawn, Un-neutered, 50-60 lbs.
