Helen Erline Epps : Obituary

Mrs. Helen Erline Epps, age 69, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at her residence, following a period of declining health.

Born September 13, 1942 in Richmond County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Erline James. Mrs. Epps had worked as a Respiratory Therapist at the Eisenhower Medical Center at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed spoiling her granddaughter and also had a love for animals. Mrs. Epps enjoyed spending time at the airport and enjoyed flying with her husband of 49 years. She was a very sweet natured Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister.

Survivors include, HER HUSBAND of 49 YEARS, Russ Epps, of Ellijay, Ga.; DAUGHTER & SON-IN-LAW, Donna Epps Miller (David ), of Ellijay, Ga.; GRANDDAUGHTER, Lauren Miller, of Ellijay, Ga.; SISTER, Charlotte Lanning, of N. Charleston, S.C.; BROTHER, Perry James, of N. Augusta, S.C.; Other Relatives also survive.

Viewing and Visitation is scheduled on Friday, April 20, 2012, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Roper Funeral Home. At her request, Mrs. Epps will be cremated following the visitation on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 922 East Morris St., Dalton, Georgia 30721.
